Thank you SO much for this class; both Joe and I found all of the information incredibly helpful! We practiced some mindfulness and meditation breathing last night and have planned to build it into our daily routine as we prepare for Baby. Having Jessica by my side during one of the most challenging and beautiful experiences of my life was priceless, and I am eternally grateful for her having been present. Jessica helped ease so many worries, before, during and even after birth. She was kind, knowledgeable, and nurturing. I really wanted a natural birth, and I knew I didn’t want to have to advocate for myself while in labor. Knowing Jessica had taken the time to listen to our wishes and would do all she could to see them through took a lot of the anxiety off our shoulders. My husband and I knew we wanted to hire a doula to help with the arrival of our first child. After taking a birthing class and speaking with Jessica, we knew that she would be an asset to our labor and delivery team but what we got from her was so, so much more than that.

Jessica helped us with questions that arose and labor progressing strategies for weeks prior to labor actually starting. She reminded me to trust my body and prepare my mind for the whirlwind that labor is, and what a whirlwind it was.

I was and felt as prepared as I could be going into my last days of pregnancy but of course, our baby had a mind of her own on how and when she wanted to enter the world. My labor started and stopped a number of times through a few days and Jessica coached me through it every step of the way and throughout all hours of the night. Once it was finally show time, she supported me and my husband what felt like so naturally and effortlessly. She helped us make educated decisions and explained the process of what was happening and what our options were during every obstacle. She was calm, patient, supportive, and emotionally present not only to me, but also to my husband. She helped him support me and made her efforts feel so seamless. She was also incredibly respectful of the rest of the hospital staff.

In the most chaotic event of my life, Jessica aided in making our birth experience the most beautiful and peaceful birthing experience we could have asked for. We are both so incredibly grateful to her. Even if I have 5 more babies, I’d hire her again every single time.
